Ed2Market Cold Outreach & Email List Usage Policy

Our Commitment to Responsible Outreach

At Ed2Market, we believe that successful marketing is built on trust, relevance, and respect for every recipient. While permission-based marketing remains the foundation of most marketing programs, we recognize that responsible business-to-business (B2B) outreach to prospective organizations can also play an important role in helping our clients grow.

Our approach to cold outreach is designed to balance business development objectives with ethical marketing practices, applicable laws, and the protection of our clients' brands.

How We Use Cold Lists

For certain client engagements, we may conduct outreach to organizations or professionals who have not previously opted in to receive marketing communications.

This type of outreach is typically used for targeted B2B lead generation and may include audiences such as:

  • School districts

  • Public, charter, and independent schools

  • Colleges and universities

  • State education agencies

  • Education associations

  • Education nonprofits

  • Education technology leaders

  • Other education decision-makers

Our goal is to introduce relevant solutions that may provide value to the recipient, not to send high-volume or indiscriminate marketing communications.

Ed2Market clients can access contacts through Ed2Market's partnership with Edulead during the length of their contract. Any contacts who have not opted in to client emails must be removed from the client's database at the end of any Ed2Market partnership.

Our Standards for Responsible Outreach

When conducting cold outreach on behalf of clients, we strive to:

  • Target recipients who are likely to benefit from the message based on their role or organization

  • Personalize communications whenever practical

  • Focus on relevant business value rather than promotional messaging

  • Respect recipient preferences and honor unsubscribe or opt-out requests promptly

  • Avoid excessive outreach frequency

  • Use reputable data sources when building prospect lists

  • Continuously monitor campaign performance and engagement to improve relevance

Compliance

We design outreach campaigns with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices in mind, including requirements related to commercial email and data privacy where applicable.

Because legal requirements vary by jurisdiction and campaign type, Ed2Market clients remain responsible for ensuring that their desired outreach strategy aligns with their legal obligations and internal compliance requirements. Ed2Market is not responsible for any legal requirements for emails we send on clients' behalf from our clients' email platforms.

Client Policies Come First

Many of our clients have their own policies regarding the use of purchased lists, prospecting databases, or cold outreach. When a client has established requirements, contractual obligations, or internal policies regarding outreach practices, those requirements take precedence over our standard approach. We will work collaboratively to ensure our services align with the client's expectations and governance standards.

Respect for Recipient Privacy

We are committed to treating recipient information responsibly. When working with contact data, we:

  • Use information only for legitimate business purposes related to the engagement

  • Protect client-provided data using appropriate security practices

  • Limit access to authorized personnel

  • Respect requests to unsubscribe or discontinue communications

  • Do not sell or share client contact lists with third parties except as necessary to deliver contracted marketing services

Quality Over Quantity

We believe effective outreach is driven by relevance, not volume. Our focus is on helping clients build meaningful business relationships through thoughtful messaging, appropriate targeting, and professional communication rather than relying on mass, untargeted campaigns.

Questions

If you have questions about our outreach practices or would like us to follow your organization's specific policies regarding prospecting or contact lists, we welcome that conversation. We will tailor our approach to align with your organization's standards whenever possible.
