OVERVIEW
The Marketing Strategist will develop and drive the implementation of creative marketing strategies for multiple clients of Ed2Market (Ed2M). The Marketing Strategist is responsible for ensuring the scope of work (SOW) is adhered to, while remaining profitable and focusing on the needs of each client alongside our Account Management and senior leadership teams. The number of clients may vary, ranging from approximately 2-8 clients at any given time, depending on capacity and role type.
As Marketing Strategist for each assigned client, the individual will manage the relationship with the Client Account Manager (CAM), as well as the overall project strategy. They also will work closely with internal and external teams to create multi-channel marketing strategies aimed at meeting the client’s goals such as increasing reach, generating leads, and driving sales.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Marketing Planning and Implementation for Ed2M Clients
Develop and implement marketing plans for assigned clients’ products and services aligned with their goals and budget
Develop a quarterly strategy and monthly execution plan for each client
Manage the profitability of each client alongside the CAM to ensure Ed2M is on track for what is committed for each client
Develop weekly, monthly or quarterly reporting for clients based on needs
Attend and participate in virtual client meetings
Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders about marketing initiatives, ideas, and metrics
Alongside the CAM, leverage contractors and internal support staff to meet the needs of each client’s portfolio and SOW
Review all campaign work before being shared with clients; provide feedback to contractors and internal team members as needed
Campaign Management
Work with the Ed2M contractor pool and internal teams to execute campaigns (the Marketing Strategist is not required to know or be able to manage all campaigns; however, they must have a global view of effective marketing to help build campaign plans and oversee execution of the plans)
Be adept at understanding a variety of marketing strategies, including email campaigns, website, SEO, content marketing, direct mail, advertising (print and digital), social media, PR, and lead generation campaigns
Plan, develop, and drive the implementation of effective marketing campaigns on schedule and within budget
Manage the development of social media, emails, landing pages, and other marketing and sales collateral for assigned clients alongside the creative teams
Manage the production of content marketing assets as needed, such as white papers and blog posts, including editing, proofreading, and incorporating feedback
Oversee all campaign content, accuracy, and proofing, ensuring it is appropriate for each client
Manage client in-house lists, research external lists, and develop strategies for increasing contact database
Write compelling selling copy and product messaging that supports business objectives and adheres to established brand guidelines and voice
Market Research and Analysis
Continually develop knowledge of the K-12 education and professional learning markets and understand the nuances between product types and service offerings
Conduct research to understand which marketing practices and mediums are most effective in each region
Stay abreast of both K-12 companies and marketing agencies/competitors and their marketing strategies, popular industry publications, influencers, and events
Analyze marketing response and data to make adjustments to strategies as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
BA/BS degree required
2+ years of K-12 marketing experience required for an agency, edtech, PD, or curriculum company, or related organization
A mixture of 5+ years of experience required within the following industries: education, in-house marketing, or agency environments
Professional written and verbal communication skills required
Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread required
Experience effectively implementing campaigns across all promotional channels required
Superior planning and organizational skills required
Experience with marketing automation and social media management systems such as HubSpot, Hootsuite, and Mailchimp preferred
Experience with web analysis tools such as Google Analytics preferred
Working knowledge of Google Suite products
Familiarity or willingness to learn productivity tools such as ClickUp and Slack
Highly-motivated with proven experience managing projects or products
COMPENSATION
The hourly rate for this role for PT or contract positions is based on experience and skillset and will range from $45-75/hr.
